After spent one year working together on the Ripple Light project, Lobmeyr decided to officially launch this project in Salone del Mobile 2014. Together we picked a space in GALLERIA ROSSANA ORLANDI and Poetic Lab is in charge of the art direction of the launch - from Space design to visual story-telling.
Our idea was to create a "Ripple Room" in the gallery, where 7 Sets of Ripple lamps were projecting moving lights to the entire space. The lamps were located on three small "islands" where the top were covered by glass sand.
And together with filmmaker Yuen Hsieh we created a video telling the story of Ripple, from its making to its beautiful effect.
